Is it safe to use these privacy scripts on my PC?

Yes! These scripts are extensively tested by the Windows community and can be reversed if needed. Windows scripts are our most tested, improved, and actively discussed collection. The changes only modify Windows privacy settings and don't affect your personal files or programs.

However, less recommended scripts such as High and Maximum may affect different programs.

Choose selectively and read more before applying them above recommended the Normal script.

Ease of Use​

Do I need technical knowledge to use this?

No technical knowledge needed! Click on Apply protection and the script handles everything automatically. PrivacyLearn's goal is to make privacy accessible by everyone.

Impact​

Will this break my Windows updates or apps?

No, Normal (recommended settings) are carefully chosen and tested to maintain full system functionality while enhancing privacy. Windows Updates and your apps will continue to work normally.

However, higher protection levels (High and Maximum) may affect system and other apps. Maximum script disables update features.

Review and select additional scripts carefully before applying them beyond the recommended Normal configuration.

Reversibility​

Can I undo the changes if needed?

Absolutely! Changes can be reversed with a single click using the Undo protection button. Your system can be returned to its original state at any time.

However, some changes (such as privacy cleanup) delete non-essential files permanently and irreversible by their nature. When this is the case, this behavior is always documented with a caution note to warn you.

Is this recommended for gaming PCs?

Absolutely! The Normal script is popular among gamers because it:

  • Doesn't interfere with gaming features or anti-cheat systems.
  • Can improve FPS by reducing background processes.
  • Optimizes network settings for better latency.
