reportbug is a tool for reporting bugs on Debian and derivative distributions 1.
It communicates with the Debian Bug Tracking System, which is used for both reporting and researching bugs, through a number of interfaces, including email, web, and command-line utilities 1.
By default, it creates an email to the Debian bug tracking system at submit@bugs.debian.org
with
information about the bug and makes a carbon copy of the report 2.
This script is only recommended if you understand its implications.
Some non-critical or features may no longer function correctly after running this script.
This script can be fully reversed to restore changes if something goes wrong.
