Overview
This script disables Windows' advertising tracking system.
Windows assigns each user a unique advertising ID 1. This ID allows app developers and advertising networks to track your PC usage patterns and show personalized ads 1.
Disabling the advertising ID improves your privacy by preventing apps from tracking your activity across different applications and creating a profile of your interests.
It may also improve your system performance by reducing background tracking processes and data collection activities.
However, Windows and some Store apps may show relevant but more random ads.
Technical Details
The script modifies the following Windows Registry settings by:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AdvertisingInfo
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AdvertisingInfo!Enabled
